I have to try to make myself giggle a little in this very serious situation other wise, I'll go completely nuts... hence the name of the thread.
Yesterday, unbenownst to me, hubby had a MD appt. He informed me as he was walking out the door..... he refused to say which doc he was going to any why and only referred to him as "Dr. Feel Good.". Yes, he drove himself.
Later, he said that "Dr. Feel Good" had referred him for a surgery consult, something to do with his belly, that's all the info he would give. Now, I know this to be untrue as his platelet count is now at 79K and we've already been informed that NO one will preform any type of surgery on him unless it is a life or death situation.
I can't take the lies..... it's like this is a game to him and there is not one damn thing funny about ESLD.
I packed an overnight bag and went to my girlfriends house. I'm not going to engage and enable him in the BS.

Love the title. I'll read the rest when I get home.

I'm sorry your husband is acting like this. Without help he will go downhill quickly. Does he not know that?

Mind's playing games, too. I mentioned something of interest to him and he was cured of HE all of a sudden. Sort of. But comprehension was there.

Yesterday he received a call from a Doctor.... I could not hear all they were speaking of, but it does indeed seem that he has a surgery consult scheduled. I sure hope this Dr. knows exactly what is going on. With his platelet count, he could die on the table. I need to get a medical POA ASAP. This is just ridiculous; and I still have NO idea what this consult is for.
I guess I'll find out if a surgery is ever scheduled as he will need me to take him.

Paperwork located; it's a surgery consult for his umbilical hernia. Now why on earth was that so hard to just tell me?
