The "mystery" surgery can't take place.... the MELD is up to 20 and his file is with the transplant team. He is not sure that he is going to go through with a transplant but is agreeable to meet with them. I'm not sure that he will allow me to go, I asked and I didn't get much of an answer.
He is concerned about the after care, but realizes what no transplant means.
I found this: something sent to his friend to print and proof read and add to if friend wants.
IN WITNESS THEREOF,I HAVE HEREUNTO SET MY AND SEAL TO THIS MY LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT 13TH DAY OF MARCH 2014 THE ABOVE SIGNATURE OF THE TESTATRIX WAS MADE AND THE FOREGOING WILL WAS ACKNOWLEDGED TO BE HIS LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT BY THE TESTATRIX IN THE PRESENCE OF US, COMPETENT WITNESS WHO AS ATTESTING WITNESS AND OF EACH OTHER,AT THE REQUEST OF TESTATRIX WHO OF SOUND MIND AND OVER THE AGE OF EIGHTEEN(18) YEAR BEFORE ME THE UNDERSIGNED AUTHORITY ON THIS DAY PERSONALLY APPEARED XXXXXXXX , TESTATRIX KNOWN TO BE THE TESTATRIX AND WITNESS RESPECTIVELY. WHOSE NAMES ARE SIGNED TO ATTACHED OR FOREGOING INSTRUMENT HIS LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT AND HE SHALL WILLINGLY SIGNED AND EXECUTED IN THE PRESENCE OF WITNESS. AS HIS FREE AND VOLUNTARY ACT FOR THE PURPOSE THERE IN. TESTATRIX AT THE TIME OF EXECUTION OF WILL TO BE OF SOUND MIND AND MEMORY SUBSCRIBED SWORN AND ACKNOWLEDGED BEFORE ME BY XXXXXXXX
How is he of "sound mind" with HE? and emailing this to a friend?
He also just told me of a time he became confused and disorientated while at a park, he never called me to come help him. That makes me sad.

My husband used an estate planning attorney who had four witnesses and had recent blood tests from his medical team to prove his competency. There was even a separate will signing ceremony used to prove he was in his right mind. There were also other legal maneuvers available in our state to reinforce the validity of his will.
-about the park incident... it reminds me of pride and denial. It's a bad place to be. This is an awful disease.

Well, his will didn't mention his remains. Here in Texas the will wouldn't even be read or process begun until after the memorial. I'd be so busy taking care of that, and no legal maneuvers happen that quickly. What's it like there? I mean, as long as you're his wife, who would be aware of his death except you first?

Deceived Wife, A transplant candidate has to have a caregiver in order to get into a transplant program. That would be you, unless he has another close relative to fill that need. As I'm my brothers closest relative that's my role. My brother isn't sick enough for a transplant yet.

As I'm my brothers closest relative that's my role. My brother isn't sick enough for a transplant yet. His next closest relative is his sister who lives in VA and who came up when he was on life support and returned to VA 3 hours later as it was too much for her to handle. She left me to take care of it all..... without her support. Next closest relative is his 31 year old son who just advised me today that he thought the reason his dad was on life support was b/c I poisened him; he went as far as to have the hospital investigate me for poisioning him and they told the son that's ridiculious, this is liver disease not posioning.

I am so glad the hospital gave him information to straighten out such a misguided fear. How horrible to have to be subject of false accusations. I've been there. I'm sorry for that. People can cause so much harm from false accusations.
