Hi All,
Yesterday the news came that hubby did not make the transplant list. They say his meld is less than what his doctors calculated by 3 points and therefore he does not meet criteria for the list at this time; however, when asked about the time frame he has they said 9-12 months.
Last week we went to the VA for a Pallative Care assessment and we asked about being listed with the VA so he could be double listed; with this news, I assume he can't be listed with the VA either.
At this point we are not sure what to do. Whether the score be a 17 or 20 (as they said a few weeks ago) it doesn't change how he feels or his pain level.
Is there someway to get the meld down? I can't seem to find an answer to that.
